Pinboards and Education: The new way of sharing and learning online
Description:
One of the more recent social media trends in higher education is the use of online pinboards. With social pinning sites, users can bookmark or “pin” websites they are interested in onto their homepages, using thumbnail pictures from the pinned sites to display and categorize their interests. In education, students and instructors are using pinboards for displaying assignments and collecting resources. Pinterest and educlipper are examples of social pinboard sites.
